WW2 USN Lapel watch, please help.
I recently inherited a watch from my Grandfather who served as a submariner during WWII. This watch was among several naval pieces but doesn't seem to fit with the rest of his things. I have tried every search term I can think of and haven't found anything even remotely close to it. It says Raleigh, Swiss, and 7 Jewels on it. No one in the family had ever seen him with it and we have zero information on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a woman's watch. The target audience for an item like that would have been either a female sailor or perhaps it was meant to be marketed to the sweethearts or wives of sailors. The movement is nothing special, it's just a generic Swiss movement from that era. I know this isn't much information but I hope it helps.

Wow. My aunt had one from her time as a Navy Nurse. One of her kids lost it and was she,,,, annoyed. She said it was impossible to keep polished,

Likely due to use of sterling silver for the case material.
