Something completely different

#1 Post by BigDDD » Thu Jul 07, 2022 7:14 pm

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Someone who knows that I collect watches gave me this vintage item. As you can see, its about 30 inches long and it’s actually a battery operated AM radio. The strap appears to be made of real leather and the buckle and case are metal—really quite heavy. I put a 9v battery in it and it does work but the volume is weak. The ‘crown’ is the on-off and volume. No brand name—just made in Japan. I think it’s kind of cool.

Way Kool!
Wonder if your body (arm) acts as its' antenna for reception?
Like how you can hold the car remote to your chin for greater distance when trying to find in a crowded parking lot.

That is just fantastic, I have never seen one, but to be honest I would just walk by it if I saw it as I just look for Hamilton's
