Original bracelets are not commonly found on bracelets 60 years later. The Gemex that goes with the Pacer or Titan is one that is commonly persued by many of the Hamilton collectors.
The 58' Accumatic IV (left) and the 53' Croydon cld, are two of the watches that were originally issued with Kestenmade bracelets. I have a larger wrist and prefer a length of 6 1/8" or 6 1/4", this makes all of these bracelets a challenge to find and to enjoy. The bracelets shown were rebuilt by me.
Below are the images, and a sample bracelet that will need to be refurbished. The caps and covers come off, the rivets need to be ground out with a Dremel and new sections added and repacement rivets tapped in place. Our old friend Jim Caulkins, (RIP) taught and supplied me with the tools to do this. Susan has her specialty replacing inserts in the Gemex bracelets for the Pacers. I helped Dan with an easier project recently, for a gentleman that was refurbishing a watch that was his fathers. Hamilton K-502 which has a Kreisler bracelet.
I don't do enough of this, however when I do it is a very rewarding and relaxing acheivment.
