Funny, it makes me curse! ;) Sometimes getting the bezel off does also. ;)

Re: The Great Lug Width Project.

This is terrific! One watch I noticed is the 16mm listing for the Oval. The Oval is one of the most challenging watches to attach to a strap. When using curved spring bars I have had better luck locating VERY soft and thin 17mm straps (DeBeer hand-made straps are my favorite for an Oval). This extra...

Re: Hamilton Flight1 on Ebay-Orig Green Dial

I am very late to this party, but I had the same issue with Jeff's ebay listings once or twice before -- once with an Illinois and another time with an Omega, if memory serves. Each time his staff seemed to work VERY hard to insulate him from his business' errors. They were also pompous, arrogant, a...

You have a winner there! I will add it to my chart. It fits nicely into that 2nd run of TT cases, btw.

Re: Custom Ardmore

While I would be willing to have a non-rare case engraved, I think this price is too much. Gold is MUCH easier to engrave than stainless steel, and the same guys who charge half that to engrave a much larger Colt 1911 would charge less to do so to a gold watch case.

Re: Custom Ardmore

I would not do this on a rare watch. I have been debating with myself to have engraving done on the Seecamp that carry daily. Here is a photo of similar work done by someone else...not one I own, but similarly cool.
