movement removal question?

This dial is hung up on the stem. Am I going about this correctly? Im trying to get it out with the stem pushed in and out, and it won't come out. T

What movement use the watch? Surely this is a watch with setting lever so you need to to unscrew the screw setting lever. One turn or one and a half turns.

Front loader should have a two piece stem.
