Help me identify this...

#1 Post by QuestForKnowledge » Tue Jun 12, 2018 3:54 am

Hello people,

I'd like to rely on your wast knowledge to help me identify this piece of beautiful machinery I've found in the attic. I know the picture of the back is in bad quality so allow me to help reading it. It says the following: stainless steel back, Swiss made, water resistant, HC-1090.
Yes, I have Googled the watch's name and I managed to find nothing. It's supposed to be a Challenger HC-1090 wrist watch (by the looks of it).
Thank you in forward for your detective work and help.
Have a good one!

It's likely some retailer's store brand with a generic movement inside. Looks to be from the 80s. That's all I can offer.

I'm no expert on swiss watches, but what I do know is you must post a picture of the movement itself. Even that may it help because a lot of swiss movements were made as a collaboration. Meaning it wasn't 1 company that made the whole movement. It would be 1 person that made balance wheel another did the gears and so on. And finally, it was all assembled. It can be difficult to pinpoint exactly who made what with swiss. I'm leary to purchase some Swiss pocket watches. Obviously this is not how all were made.
