Here are some great diagrams of what the parts are inside your watch movement, so when others on the forum talk about a part being broken, you will be able to identify it here.

Great addition to the site, I agree that this should be a sticky. :D This is basic watch nomenclature and is extremely useful for those who don't work on their own watches but understand most of the mechanics involved and who don't know what the various parts are properly called.

I should see if I can set up a webinar to show people how to disassemble a movement and put it back together. There are videos, but the ones I saw, the guy keeps getting upset over hos mistakes. I will look into it.
