anyone know thewatchguy.com ?

#1 Post by morningtundra » Thu Jun 29, 2017 1:47 pm

I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience using this guy (Kevin James) for repairs or restoration?

http://www.thewatchguy.com/

His website has a lot of great materials, suggesting he knows his stuff.

If anyone's used his services, I'd love to hear your experience (by PM if preferred).

Thanks

Well, I took the plunge and for US$200 he restored this Pierce 3-Hander.
I think he did a lovely job...

While his service time is not fast and his email communication not great, I'm very happy with his work and the results.

I'd recommend him if you're patient.

A two month (+/-) turn around isn't half bad especially if you're pleased with his work. I've had much, much worse.

... it was about 14 weeks in the end. He does this as a sideline to his day job so you'd need to be flexible if you want to try him out. Very nice amiable guy on the phone. Terrible at answering emails :-)

today I made my weekly visit to friends shop to see what he had for me to sell. I wore the Timex dynabeat with the smoke dial and told him it took me 7 years to find the parts.
he replied that was pretty good turn around
