The Other Timex ???

#1 Post by JerseyMo » Sun Sep 18, 2016 6:39 pm

Yes, the other Timex I am referring to are the factories that operated in Great Britain. All dials and hands were made in Felton, England. Movements were made in Dundee Scotland and assembly at the plants at Camperdown and Milton.

Here is an example of the fine work and craftsmanship from this era in Timex history. A 1961 Mercury that is in fantastic condition and freshly serviced.

Note the ink stamp which is the only dating method US Time \ Timex used prior to 1963. Also the stamping of a movement number and factory Timex 22 Scotland is unique to the Scottish made movements.
