those numbers would have represented the following:

2024 - Catalog Number
24 - Movement Number
65 - Year of Manufacture

if you look in the parts catalog for the 1965 Marlin the the case color is listed as yellow. this is determined by the third digit. (1) chrome (2) yellow

That's interesting information, JerseyMo. So with this reissued model, I'm guessing that they put on the numbers just for nostalgia rather than reflecting the actual case color, movement, and year. Still a nice touch though.

Thanks for catching the flub with the watch name I put out with my pictures earlier. I meant to say Timex "Marlin" Blackout. Left it out in my new watch excitement and haste to post.
