My Pacer Collection

#1 Post by retroworx » Wed Mar 09, 2016 7:12 am

I think for a gal who once said "I'm not that into you" to Pacers, this ought to do it.

Excellent! Is the dial with the crest an employee award? Are any 14k?

No 14K, I refuse to go there — I have to draw the line somewhere!!
:P
The crest dial is original but a bit of a mystery and may be a one-off. Speculation is that it might have come from the dial department as a salesman sample for the awards dept — to show off what they could do.

FYI, the dial on the bottom right is me just playing around: Ventura dial with "Electric" in red. :P All the others are original.

I have too many black ones already and I seriously am not trying to be complete or I will break the bank even more. I'm posting these now because I think I am done. ;)

I didn't want to confuse the issue by including it in the other pic. . . .

Did you leave any Pacer bracelets for the rest of us or is the global supply exhausted?

That is a super grouping. 8-)

I had no idea you had six of these bracelets. I thought I was going over the top with the three that I have. haha

This is fantastic! You already know how fond I am of the Pacer and, for related reasons, the Ventura. These are my favorite models in the line-up due to a connection with my grandfather. Me getting to own his black-dialed 505 Pacer years after his death caused my interest in Electrics.

My own Pacer and Ventura collection is a bit more obviously varied than your own. You certainly have more of the variants than I do, but I think I have more crazy examples. It's really cool to see the different approaches, as far as I'm concerned. The two collections would mesh well together!

I really appreciate these group photos. They do a lot for me and I thank you for taking the time to share them. I'll have to take some new photos of my own and will share them here. Thanks for the inspiration.

Tell me more about this, please. Is it an automatic conversion or just a redialed 500/505?
