I was hoping to nab the Sir Echo with the Sherwood dial but it sold for a bit more than I was willing to pay. I was also quite interested in the K-475 but decided not to bid as there was some wear to the dial and case.

I used the sale price of the K-475 to negotiate with a seller of a K-475 that was in better condition on eBay and bought the watch for $1900! That was with the 10% discount that is being offered today. Quite happy with that purchase! :D
I bought two K-475's last year for $2,400 and $2500 and thought that was cheap. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.

Quite happy with my newly acquired K-475. Dial is in fantastic condition. Will likely send the hands for replating/cleaning.

I just bought a new vehicle so my war chest is depleted but I was watching those auctions with more than a little drool.

For so many really great and rare watches I was surprised by the addition of several "top hat" aftermarket solid gold models with 980 movements included. I thought "how could someone with such great examples in their collection have these mules too?" They sold for more than some of the authentic solid gold models... go figure.

Congrats!

Can it pull an Airstream? Or is it more of a small red two door mid life crisis job?

Oh yeah, it can pull an Airstream, probably two or three of them.

I call it, “the Beast” :o

Subtle, Dan, real subtle.
So, when are the red and yellow flames going down the side. :)

What are those tyres? Great grip! Stopping that monster falling down a near vertical face!

(Well that how the pic seems to me anyways....)

Ha ha! Yeah, My last truck was a Toyota Tacoma and it was a nice truck but a little under equipped when towing our camper and loaded with people and stuff. I wanted something with more payload and I wanted to avoid “wishing I had more truck”.

“The Beast” is a Chevy 2500HD High Country with the Duramax turbo diesel and something like 950 Ftlbs of torque at 1900 RPM. As a diesel it also has “exhaust braking” so not only is going up hills no problem but going back down isn’t either.

Plus I think my testosterone levels increase 20% when I drive it.

I suspect my attempt at sarcasm re tyre (tire) grip has been wasted.... On my screen at least the truck pic is sideways:

It is beautiful. As I get older I always want a bigger motor. Thi traded my Suburban in for the Yukon XL Denali. You get the 6.2 Litre motor vs. the 5.3. 100 more horsepower.
