April Arrivals... What's New?

#1 Post by coronado » Tue Apr 10, 2018 8:36 am

March rains bring April sunshine and a bumper crop of Texas Bluebonnets... and a solid gold Oval.

Just got this Pacer with an original bracelet band. I'm hooked on these bands!

I got the Seckron back from a service and TLC this past week...The Omega ref. 2471 (from 1944) I got a couple of weeks ago from a Nederlander collector (okay, I did throw a Hamilton in here, even if I've owned it for 9 years!).

Adam,

The Omega, oh my, what a beautiful watch. Moon phase, so cool.

That Seckron looks like it recently had a new canon pinion added.....LOL

Bryan, that back looks NOS. Congrats.

Holy smokes, nice watches! I like how you have the rounded leather band on that Hamilton Oval.

Here's a new addition to the photo library... a 1962 M79-2 with it's original bracelet and original box.

I've seen red boxes before but never with a watch. My new hypothesis is red boxes were for the M-series watches.

and while I'm at it, here's another watch for the photo library... a 1964 M100-3. Notice that it's very similar (but the dial is actually a little different)

It only took me 25 minutes to get the band on the Oval... and it's a thin, soft pigskin. I've often wondered if they were originally sold with strap that had special curved ends.
