Hamilton TM-2601

#1 Post by vanallard » Thu Aug 09, 2018 9:34 am

I picked up this interesting piece recently on the Bay. A review of the catalogues suggests that it is a ‘68 TM-2601; however, the catalogue does not reference a white gold version.

In any event, a very simple, classic looking watch that should clean up quite nicely!

That’s a nice one! It’s in great condition. I especially like the bezel design.

What an excellent looking watch! Nice find. Seems like it's one for the photo catalogue.

Is that "circle" on the inside case back damage from the weight?

Not really sure, though this isn't the first time I've seen this with micro-rotor models. Perhaps one of the more experienced members can provide some clarity ;)

I leave a lot of leeway for models cataloged in 1968-70. That seems to have been a tumultuous and disorganized period at Hamilton. It's pretty easy to believe that they made a white gold version of this model but only listed it as yellow gold in the catalog.
