For Christmas, I received the DVD Set for the HBO series "From the Earth to the Moon" - was produced by Tom Hanks / Ron Howard and originally aired in the late 90s (after he did Apollo 13 movie)

Have watched several episodes and saw many Accutron Astronauts, a few Omegas, a clear screen shot of a Waltham and other period correct (early 60s - early 70s) examples

Recommend this if you're interested in the space-race of the 60s

Will try and grab some shots to post

Watching TCMs. Came across 1938 "Trade Winds" with Fredric March. At about the 28 minute mark appeared this Hamilton. Don't know what it is.

Sure is worthy of the '28 Yanks. Thanks all for the identification. I'd been misled - thought a 1938 film would have had a watch more current so didn't look so far back. Thanks!

I was watching the 1955 film, Murder is My Beat. The main character (a police detective) wore a Myron.

Inspired by this movie--I just bought one.

I watched the movie Crime Wave last night on TCM's Noir Alley with Eddie Muller. Three Hamilton's made an appearance thanks to a bank heist that was supposed to go down just after 12 noon. Lots of checking of watches. I found it a neat touch that the gold case/black dial watch was worn by the well dressed leader of the operation while the other two steel watches were worn by blue collar types in the group. Very good movie by the way.

For reference, this movie was released in 1954 but was filmed two years earlier, in 1952. I'll also note that in the car photo, it was the Hamilton that had the correct time--not the clock in the car. :)

If you know the specific models of these watches feel free to share.

Doing some research on the models above. I assumed the round watches were steel but it's very possible they were gold.
