Is it ok to reply to this? This ties together two of my interests- vintage watches and college football history. Is there any way you can say what year the watches in the first ad are for (note- a 1956 bowl game was for the end of the 1955 season, and played New Years Day)? Also, can you say what Hamilton models are represented? I'm making a spreadsheet for bowl game watches.

It's pretty interesting- the oldest bowl game watches were typically engraved (sometimes with player's name) and later ones had printing added to the watch face. In more recent years, the watches tend to be generic non-brand name affairs (the NCAA has limits on value of gifts for players), but in decades past they could be really nice.
