Hamilton Boxes from all era's

This is my favorite style Hamilton box — wish they were used with Electrics!
well, the seller descriped the box as being 5 inches wide - in fact, it's only 4 1/3 inches wide..... oh well. But I like this box anyway...
It certainly is!inatime wrote:Now that's a cool box!
Here again is my vote for coolest box ever. (The hunt for this one is what actually started this whole box thread, if I recall. . . .)
It gets a bit confusing:
This is the very first box used upon the release of Electrics (Ventura, Van Horn*) and was repurposed from the boxes used in the Masterpiece line. It was used for only a few months before shifting to the long version of the more familiar brown clamshell box with the angled watch insert. No atomic design box was used for Electrics, with the EXCEPTION of this box with the "Electric" sash.
If it does not have this sash, it is not an Electric box.
*Maybe Spectra as well? I have seen a Spectra in this box, but by the time of the Spectra release, which is later than Ventura and Van Horn, the box may have been updated? Rene will know the exact timelines better than I. . . .)
I agree! And 2nd place (for my opinion) goes to the asymmetric box for the thin-o-matic you showed stuffed with a T-403….. makes me envy…. really. I own a T-403, but getting this box will be a challenge, I fear.retroworx wrote: Here again is my vote for coolest box ever.
BTW: you haven’t posted photos of your thin-o-matic box with the T-403 here in this thread. Could you please post photos of it here also?
Question regarding your “space bar”: is there present “Patent pending” on the back also – or a patent number?
Ah, I hadn't realized it was missing. Here ya go.Mugea wrote:BTW: you haven’t posted photos of your thin-o-matic box with the T-403 here in this thread. Could you please post photos of it here also?
Keep plugging — they're out there.I own a T-403, but getting this box will be a challenge, I fear.
You mean the Ventura box? Just says "patent Pending" with no number. Same for the Masterpiece version. . . .Question regarding your “space bar”: is there present “Patent pending” on the back also – or a patent number?
Any excuse to show them off.Mugea wrote:thanks for showing your boxed T-403s
They are, aren't they? And yet inexplicably, the ones that follow — the common "clamshells" — are (in my opinion) completely uninspired in both shape, color and material. Bah humbug.inatime wrote:Yousa, I'm not sure which one gets my 1st place vote. They are all so cool.
