For Wednesday a bit of a crossover that was made for only the one year, with leftover parts from the Illinois brand.

The 1956 Nautilus II "B" driven by the Illinois "TXD" movement.

I find it ironic in the catalog in 1956 it is referred to as a "B" and in 1957 there is no "B" a bit of a connotation!

Here's a bit of trivia for you...

"TXD" is actually the import code for Illinois movements. All of the various Illinois grades will have TXD. The same ebauche movements for other brands (Gruen, etc) will have other codes, even though the parts are interchangeable.

Hamilton's code is "HYL" and you'll see that on all the imported movements, regardless of the maker (ETA, A. Schild, Kurth Freres, etc.)

Hamilton didn't identify the Illinois-branded movements so the Hamilton 672 is the same as an Illinois automatic since they're both based on the same ETA platform but they have different import codes.

I wore this on Wednesday. I put the Streamline on a mesh band, what do you think? Feels really comfy.

just back from what appears to be they very first service this ever had. Watchmaker noticed the pristine conditon of the inner works, no marks, dings, burs to screw slots etc.'

Running great.
