Happy New Year!

Out from the bellows, :D is the 1959 Uranus one of the rarest of the production run Electrics. It is estimated there were less than 800 produced!

When I slipped it on and set it, it looked up at me and said "No Respect!"

Beautiful watch to start the year, there, Greenbay~!

In honor of the New Year, these are my calendar watches. Guess which came first, second, and third in my path to collecting? : )

Image

The Stuhrling works fine as a watch, but unless you have super vision, the calendar is absolutely worthless.

Image

The Deep Blue is a big honking watch that I'm no longer used to wearing, but its Miyota 9100 beats at 28,880, it has a huge sapphire crystal, and you can read all the dials. Plus it glows like Fukishma at night and keeps good time.

Image

Lastly, the Revue Thommen complete calendar. The most refined of the bunch, with the guilloche dial and moon phase. It runs the 2824 withe the DD 9310 complication.

Image

Today's winner? The Deep Blue just because I can't bear to scratch up the Revue Thommen : )

Freshly assembled thin thin in stainless.
First wrist test. It winds and sets smoothly now that all the broken bits have been swapped out and serviced.
Now let's see how she keeps time. It was good on the bench.

Well, since posting my Sea Rover II elsewhere on the forum, it got some wrist time today. The Sea Rover III dial is going out for refinishing - tried cleaning and lost the lettering (perhaps that will be my incoming in January-February).

looking awesome. Great bracelet.

I have them same dial. Thought it was aged, but seeing yours, wonder if that is just the way it is?

Love the Ace Tom. The simple strap with white stitch looks good on it too. Where did the strap come from?
