Nice start to the watch week, Mark! You have quite a varied collection, it seems, and always something interesting to show us. (I was particularly fond of the Lord Elgin 218 from last week.)

You weren't the only one sporting an ostrich band today. I have one on one of my very favorite watches, an Illinois "Biltmore":

I love the parchment-like patina on its dial.

For Sunday, I followed Magpie in selecting a long rectangle, a Hamilton Andrews:

(I like the Andrews because it was named for my favorite paleontologist and, of course, because the movement was made by Illinois.)

I'm starting off the week with this 1966 Hamilton Dateline T-278.

** The 14k yellow gold Star case contains a grade 619 micro rotor automatic movement.

I outfitted the piece with a NOS 11/16" Kreisler genuine alligator strap.

Thank you Bettie, I always like both yours and James' choice of watches. Especially the Illinois.
Like the Dunkirk a lot Adam.

Nice Langley Adam, hands remind me of my Gladstone. Strap is a perfect compliment to the watch, real good.
Today, black dog, black watch- a 70's Seiko like a TV set in its shape. :D

Beautiful watches!
Today I am working on the house so I wore what I consider a beater.
Modern Bulova chrongraph. Except for the crystal it's in great shape.
I had no luck locating a new crystal for it.

On Labor Day I'm wearing an award for someone else's labor: this Hamilton Electronic Masterpiece.

The 10k yellow gold filled Star case (case #981069) does not appear in any known catalog so I assume this model was unique to the awards watch division. It runs a not-frequently-seen grade 703 electronic transistor movement and takes a 344 battery.

Mr. Nicholson received it as a 25 year service award from the New York State Electric and Gas Corporation in 1973 (he would have begun working for this upstate energy supplier in 1948).

Beautiful pooch, Mark... ;)

The bold art deco numeral font is somewhat reminiscent of the Gladstone, but the Langley lies more gracefully on the wrist.

Great Hammie Electric and Mido. I could definitely see collecting in the Mido niche

Nice watches everyone!

Here is my Bulova drivers style watch. It fits well on the side of the wrist. I included a view that shows the side of the case, and a view of how it fits on the side of the wrist. If any of you Bulova aficionados out there know the model of this one, I would appreciate it. I haven't been able to locate it on the Bulova website yet.

Not a Bulova expert but I'll take a swing at it: I believe this model is called the Rite-Angle.

Hamilton Quartz today. 1980s is my guess.
