For a visit to the watch shop where I bought my first Illinois (60-hour Sangamo Special), I picked out a Viking:

(On the way out I noticed the minute hand had fallen off, so the first thing I did when I got to the shop was grab some bench space and put it back on.)

My Illinois "Del Monte 157" emerged this afternoon for an outing:

Continuing the Illinois theme, I wore a Larchmont in the rare variant in rose rolled gold plate:

For a recital at our church last night (my organ-design professor played Bach on the harpsichord and organ for the American Guild of Organists) and a music-club meeting this morning, an Illinois Marquis Strap:

Looks like a particularly fine example of a beautifully designed watch.

Last night and again this morning I wore a white gold Illinois ladies' Tonneau model with a moiré dial:

In Fred Friedberg's eagerly awaited book set there's information about this model and also about the special dial.
That dial is stunning.
No wonder this one got wrist time on 2 consecutive days.

Like many of us, I'm eagerly awaiting Fred's new book set.

Dateline A-690, white dialed version
original bracelet (no mark, maybe Prospect or DREMA?)

I like the dial tone on that A-690 Todd. James , if I ever got an Illinois it would be like that Marquis, sharp watch. Today I wore the Dorchester.
