For Wednesday a maiden voyage for my first Pacer. "I was never going to own one!
Uh-oh, Pat, that is one slippery slope. . . . :D
They are striking to say the least in person. I have had the bracelet for over two years waiting for the right case. You are right it is a slippery slope... :o

I actually have two, one I purchased for the dial and it had a bad case. The second I purchased for the case. Ironically, the movement did not work in the old case. I put it in the new case and it is running and keeping perfect time, go figure.

For Friday the 73' Auto Date Buccaneer 826002-03 with NOS Metalink Drema bracelet.

It needs cleaning and adjustments to the bracelet. The crystal was a mess, I took Dan's advise and went after it with Simichrome and the Dremel. I followed up by with Colgate toothpaste and it's not too bad.

When I have it cleaned I will have a new crystal pressed into it.

99 years ago today the Great War ended with the signing of the Armistice.

The bloody fighting ended on the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

The day is still celebrated around the world, in the UK it is known as Remembrance Day or Poppy Day.

In 1954 Armistice Day in the United States was renamed Veterans Day.

Today we honor all who have served, so lets see your military watches.

Today I will be wearing a 1918 WWI US Army Issued Elgin Black Star Dial Trench Watch.

This model served the United States in BOTH World Wars.
