Antique mall find

#1 Post by NWI Mark » Sun Sep 25, 2016 12:13 pm

I was at the antique mall yesterday, and I spied this Android automatic skeleton watch in a case so I asked to see it.
As soon as I picked it up it started running. I set it and wound it a little it ran but had no price on it.
The lady tried to contact the owner of that booth. These watches retail around 300.00.
After being unable to contact the booth's owner, the woman said she'd take my cell phone number and call me if she ever found what the owner wanted for it.
I left, went across the street to buy a hot dog when the woman called back. It turns out that everything in that booth was 75 percent off and the owner told her it was 25 bucks. I said I'd be back in a minute and promptly bought the watch. She had wanted 100 but I benefited from the booth going out of business discount.
How'd I do? It's sweet and runs a 21jewel seagull AD 649 mvmt. It's very heavy though.

Have no idea, but for $25, I would buy it as well. Good find.
