Antoine Martin slow runner

a friend just showed me this video the other day. Its very much a gimmick but cool nonetheless. I love how the stud of the hairspring slides up and down so that the oversized hairspring can breath true. Check out the video

I wonder how the hairspring stud gets lubricated. It gets a lot of wear from that sliding, but the risk of oil getting in the spring itself is high.

But quite a cool watch! :)

Paul, good point. A little shake in that stud due to wear would totally mess the watch up..especially when you consider its super low beat. The stud is either made of some extra resistant material or they have a stash of balance completes and will cross that bridge when the problems begin to roll in. It makes you wonder if any long term durability testing goes into the wild and crazy stuff that is coming out these days
