Wow, you dug deep to find this.

I think a basic Chinese timing machine is so cheap that you may as well have one from near the beginning. They reveal all sorts of faults, diagnoses and let you know when you've done it right.

Organising, oh dear. My oilers are in an automatic oiler holder, my screw drivers live in a rotating stand, my tweezers are in a partitioned drawer - and more likely than not, all over the bench as well. I really am not the best to comment on this, but I do like the idea that some people have of putting everything away at the end of the day and starting each day with a wipe down. That forces you to have a place for everything.
