Vintage Purse Watch(?) Info & Value Needed

#1 Post by Kato » Tue Jan 02, 2018 8:28 am

Great forum! Would like to know what type of Purse watch (Travel clock?) this is, the maker and it's aprox. value if possible. I didn't open it yet but I will if and when it's needed, not running as of now. On it it says: 935(boxed), 34592 and Patent No. 1651804 with a Sterling(?) mark. The words Sterling and Germany are printed on the top loop. I have several old watches and clocks that I could use some info on...Thanks.

The patent number relates to the case design and Carl Friedrich Bosch was the inventor, but I can't link that name to any watch company. I think you'll have to open it up to get any more information.

And that's a very cool watch/clock. Love the enamel work.

What a beautiful Art Deco piece you have!
The "935" refers to the silver content (925 part per thousand).

I don't think you're going to get much more info without opening the back and providing pictures of the movement and inner case markings.
