Movement for learning

#1 Post by lc130 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 10:00 am

I was advised that a 6497 movement is optimal for learning to disassemble/reassemble. Swisslab has a step by step for doing this. Here http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/6497/6947.html

My question is whether this is the same movement? It does say 6497 but want to be sure https://tinyurl.com/yccaaw5u

Thank you

I bought a job lot of cheap old junker pocket watch movements, then cheap old watch movements, and practiced on them. Most of them didn't make it!
