Need help identifying this Longines watch

#1 Post by Indyracingnut » Sat Jul 02, 2016 8:35 am

Hi...I received this watch after my grandmother passed away and I just want to know what it is I have here. I have searched extensively and cannot find another like it.

Welcome to the forum!

It's hard to tell anything very specific about the watch without a picture of the inside of the case back (to show the information there, which should indicate the metal content) and one of the movement. However, I looked quickly on eBay and did find one whose case design appears to be like yours: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Longine ... SwA4dWGVtZ

My guess is that your watch is likely from the late 1950s or early 1960s.

I wish I knew how to crack this baby open...I'm afraid to, to be honest. But you've given me enough information to go on to make the trip to a watch dealer and hopefully get some decent pics of the inside. Other than the face of the watch that you showed on the ebay link...everything else looks just like what I have. Same size, same case....all that. Thank you so much!! :) :) :)
