WW II 8 Day Clock - How to Open

#1 Post by JerseyMo » Wed Apr 26, 2017 7:02 pm

I just came across a Longines - Wittnauer Army 8 Day Clock and can's see how the case opens.
There are two screws in the back that I removed but don't see any split in the case.
Anyone have some directions on how to do so?

I had one of these for service recently. If memory serves, the front bezel unscrews and the movement complete with dial, removes from the front.
You must remove the set knob before ,as well. I think that is the large plug in the back. Hold in back and counter clockwise in front.
Hopefully you don't have a broken staff.
