This uncommon Waltham wristwatch model has shown up in a few references, on a few different boards, but very little is known about them. I am only aware of eight examples, including the one shown in Shugart’s price guide. I have managed, this year, to acquire both the 14K gold version and the silver version. It appears to be designed as a military field watch, certainly dust-proof and perhaps water-proof, and may have been produced at the end of WWI or even a year or two later.

As I continue my research on these I would be grateful for information on other examples or thoughts on the features of this watch for which patents were pending but apparently never granted. Any information to pin down precisely when these were made or who made the cases will be particularly important to my research. If you can, please cross-post to the NAWCC thread.
