Need help with this WALL.ST. pocketwatch

#1 Post by Mr. Scott » Tue Oct 04, 2016 8:41 pm

Hi All,
First post in this forum. Just cleaned and reassembled an Elgin 15j size 16 watch. Works like a charm, but I can't set the time so I will take the face back off and look it over.

This WALL.ST. watch is a mystery, It is 21 jewel, side winder and lever set. the balance and spring are shot.
Any help would be apprechiated.

Also where can I get a good set of screwdrivers, The ones I bought are not very good and would like some smaller than .50

Any help would be appreciated.
Scott

Your Wall St. pocket watch looks suspiciously like a Swiss Imitation of an American watch. Here is a web page that explains more. Not sure if you will find parts for it.

As for screwdrivers an older bergeon set is a decent starting point.

Thank you SFC,
You hit the nail on the head. It is a Swiss fake! I now have more research to do.

I'll look at the bergeon screwdrivers.

Thanks again!!!
