Lost the minute (large) hand

#1 Post by Anovice » Fri May 04, 2018 9:11 am

Don't ask!

The watch was dropped, the crystal came off as well as the minute hand, and I could not find it.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a minute hand?

On the related, if one can be found, can anyone recommend a repair shop in the Philadelphia PA area?

Thanks SO much.

I'm afraid I can't help other than by saying welcome to the VWF and thanks for making me feel less like the Lone Ranger. Your appeal here is likely to turn up something. Otherwise, when I'm in a similar situation, I prepare for an extended period of ebay searching. Eventually a seller there will offer up a set of hands from the right period and for the right movement and you will be rewarded for the hours of browsing through auctions. Good luck, Joel.

I can probably find something, but not sure when I'll have a chance to dig. In the meantime, have you tried combing the suspected landing area with a magnet? You never know.
