Hopefully the pictures attach. I found this watch in a box of things laying around a relatives house. I know nothing about it, I do not wish to take the back of it off to check underneath it, it does run when wound. Glass has a bend in the middle of it. On the back of the case it says L3 I believe and a serial number of 5569581 if I am making it out right. Can anyone help me identify when this watch came from, maybe what its called.

Thank you for letting me know. When I looked it up pictures of 1953 dont say swiss on the bottom, but 1954 does. However the L3 on the back says it should be 1953. Oh well! either way thank you.

Very common to see the same dial with 'Swiss' or blank at the bottom. All ties back to import duties and other such matters of trade.
At least that is my understanding.

Also, Bulova had US production of movements as well. So those watches will not have 'swiss' on the dial. US production started by about 1933-35. I am not sure when it ended.

Nice watch BTW.
