Found a Bulova design patent what might be interesting for Bulova collectors:

US design Patent D 84496 applied 21. October 1930, granted on 23. June 1931 to William Scheibel, who assigned the patent to Bulova.
"The dominant features (…) are shown in full lines" means: the quintessence of the design is the bezel with the word "UNIVERSITY" interrupted by Roman numbers XII and VI.
I knew already, that Bulova made a Piping Rock look-alike. But with such a bezel? Has anybody seen such a variation?
