Spaceview Date

#1 Post by gogirlusa » Tue May 01, 2018 9:37 am

Hi everyone! I'm not very knowledgeable about watches, but I have my dad's Spaceview here with the date code M. I looked this up and seems that it would be from 1960 if it were M 0. Is M the same as M 0? I looked on Ebay and saw others with M0 but none with just M. Maybe this is a dumb question but I don't want to Ebay something off with the wrong date information lol. Thanks! :)

Very interesting, I would have thought there would be M0 as well. Perhaps it was mis-stamped or have worn down. Either way after looking at recent sales of a 14k Spaceview it should matter much. They are pulling in some good numbers.

I didn't read the text at first, but instead stared at that watch for an embarrassingly long time looking for the date aperture, thinking I just couldn't see it because of how busy looking these watches are.

Nice watch! I've always liked the Spaceviews.
I do think the date year number has been worm down. It's definitely a 60's though.
Just as an fyi, I did find this chart on how to determine legit Spaceview case styles as opposed to Accutron cases:

Thank you all so much! You're so helpful! :D I really don't know much about watches, and everyone here has been extremely helpful! I find myself somewhat interested in watches now lol!
