What model is this?

#1 Post by Gabe » Sat Jul 14, 2018 11:45 am

The serial number on the movement is 466813 and it has the Bulova half moon marking just below the serial number.

It has a dust cover over the movement in the swing out case back.

On the inside of the case back lid, it says Pat. Jan 11, 1927 Bulova 14K Rolled Gold Plate New York 8223099

Can you post a clear picture of the case back markings?

It has a case similar to the 1927 Bulova Spartan, but has "waterproof" on the dial. To the best if my knowledge, the Watertite didn't appear until 1929-30, and has a completely different case design.

Also, the crescent symbol dates the movement as a 1928.

I'd say "spartan" is dead on. They were made from 1926 to 1928 and are listed as being in "tri-fold" cases.
