Lord Elgin Rochester

New to the collection. A Lord Elgin Rochester. Case 4824, 14K gold filled. Uses the 680, 21 jewel movement. Date, 54/55?

It came with 3 dial variations. I have the Roman numeral version, but the one to have, imho with the concentric circle, two tone one.

Nice Rochester! I agree on the dials, but that one's in pretty good shape for the style. It seems like a lot of Elgins matte white dials from the 1950s age poorly. I'm thinking of these, or the Thorntons, for example.
