Another Lord Elgin 14K mystery

#1 Post by coronado » Fri Jun 01, 2018 6:05 am

Here is another Lord Elgin model of which I've only seen a few.

I haven't found it in an advertisement and it doesn't have a model number stamped in the caseback. Movement is a grade 626. The case is made by Di Vincenzo & Arienti and has male lug pins which Elgin didn't use very often. There is another example of this model on eBay with a presentation engraving from 1951.

No clues, sorry. I have a Lord Elgin brochure from a few years after that which focuses on the 14k models and that's not among them.

That's a nice looking watch.
