Thank you again. My concern is really not the value but the integrity of the repair shop. It was my fathers who died when I was a boy and I want to wear it again. My dad returned from WWII with a Rolex for my mom and his sisters and brother, and I believe he also bought the Tri-Compax during the war as well. He was in North Africa, Sicily,Italy, France and Germany. Not sure where he got it. I know he was also in Switzerland for a short time towards the end of the war, from what little I know, the Tri-Compax was available in 1944. I imagine the watch can be dated by the serial number on the back. I notice that many photos blank out the last digits of the number. Is there a good reason for doing that if I post a photo of the reverse?
