Gold omega Cal 231

#1 Post by lennyt11374 » Fri Sep 07, 2018 11:32 pm

I just bought 14k gold "Omega" ?... pretty much at scrap price, and now comes couple of questions.
There is no Omega markings inside the case just 14k stamp and serial number. However movement fits perfectly.
Dial is pretty much roached so I won't even bother posting picture of it.
Bracelet is most likely hand made and have no markings but tested 14k and same color as the case.

So what is it? Custom case made for this movement or Omega case (some special order or something)?
Does it have any collectible value?

I'm not an Omega expert, but they were pretty consistent about marking their cases going all the way back to the early 20th century, so I would say almost certainly recased. But if you got it near scrap value and you like the look, then get a redial and enjoy it.
