Unexpected Find - Oversized Cal 283.

I took a chance at a scrap lot and found this among the junkers. Looks like it should clean up great.

I love when that happens! Nice!
Usually a pile of junkers truly is a pile of junkers.
I found a solid gold longines in a junk pile once. Most junk piles are just parts.
Cool find. Post a pic when you finish it up.

yep, I had my eye on this lot and tossed out 10 bucks thinking no way... but here it is.

dropped off the watch today at the repair shop. Initial inspections showed some water that gotten inside but did not cause any damage.
the dial will not get restored at this time and will post pics once back fro repair.
