How do you identify lady's models?

#1 Post by Gabe » Mon Oct 15, 2018 11:46 am

Other than the very nice set of Farrell Gay NAWCC articles, how do you identify the lady's models?

Unless I've missed them in the bible, I don't know of any way to identify the lady's models. There's a list of the names there, but with scant identification clues.

Anyone know of a source?

It would be useful to have some way to cross-reference model names with movements and production years.

I gather that you haven't yet acquired a copy of Fred Friedberg's massive new work, The Illinois Watch and Its Hamilton Years, or you wouldn't be asking this question. Chapter 10, which provides detailed identification of all the known Illinois ladies' models, is HUGE!!!

I have, but I have yet to muster the strength to make it through chapter 3 without becoming stuporific.

I now have a good reason to push through.

Thank you so much, Mag!!!
