Looks like this watch belong here

Picked this watch up at regional flea market with whole bunch of other less desirable watches. Looks like it could be something interesting.

YOU BET!!! It's a "Chesterfield," a very hard-to-find and very desirable Illinois model. It's one of only two Illinois models that have two-tone white and yellow gold-filled bezels.

Quite a find -- congrats! And welcome to the forum!

Yes sir, the universe smiled on you! We might get Fred to jump in and give us his thoughts!

And in addition to a really great case, you have a fine example of a 207 movement. For more about this, see the next post, about a "Finalist Deco", which uses the same movement (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12325).

Congratulations on a truly spectacular Fantastic Find.

If you write up how you found it, I will try to include it in my Fantastic Find article in each issue of the NAWCC BULLETIN.

Well done!

Thanks,
FJF

There is not much to it. Asked some random wendor on Brimfield flea market if he has any watches for sale. He said only bag of junk. Asked to take a look and found 4 watches that looked somewhat interesting. The rest was quartz junk. I won't name the price paid, let's just say it wasn't much.

Well I don't collect Illinois, so PM me if you want to buy it. I will accept offers or trade (looking for good chronograph or Tudor).
