Vintage Cubo Desk Clock question

Ok, I know this is not a watch, but it is a timekeeper. I got this neat vintage Cubo Desk Clock with what seems to be an old school vintage LED display. The display kind of reminds me of one of those old Pulsar LED watches. I googled this thing and all I could find was a couple pictures of it, no history or anything. I was wondering if anyone knew the history of this cool clock?
I got it in a bulk lot at an estate sale which meant it was under $1 USD.
