ladies watch storage

#1 Post by inatime » Tue Aug 07, 2018 6:40 pm

Thought there might be a member or two that has ideas for ladies watch storage. The watch boxes (that accommodate multiple watches) I have for my collection aren't really accommodating for the small size of vintage ladies watches. With my wife's growing collection, I'd like to find a way to store them collectively as opposed to the individual boxes.

Any suggestions? Boxes that take into account the very small sizing of ladies wrist watches? My wife's watches have straps, bracelets and cords.

Thanks in advance!

there's such a big difference between the different styles of ladies watches that I'm betting you''ll have to go with more than one kind of storage .......especially since sone open up flat and some dont's ..( and even if they do, many of the ladies watches have guard chains that prevent a full flat presentation ......

For the flat ones, you can always go with a watch roll .....to dress it up a bit as they do tend to be on the plain side ....check out a large fabric store ....often they have uphostery stuff .....I made one several years ago, and used an embossed faux leather as the outside cover ....little hot glue and some measuring and cutting should yield very nice results .....

I was a vintage watch dealer for several years and for the ladies watches that had to go on some kind of form I just squished the watch holding part down .....I used these holders that were ba...wait wait ...I'll see if I can find a photo BRB...found something that might work ...

this one might work very well for all the different sizes !

this one is lockabe, ( why anything big enough to be just picked up and made off with is beyond me but ???) anyway ....this has a glass top

or even a glaass top case and put a piece of velvet in it and ta-da ......watch case

glass top, and could hold the ones with metal bands

This one looks great ...pillow to hold watch, but they're not huge ...and a glass top

YOu're entirely welcome ! .....I do have this thing about looking for stuff on ebay .....a challenge I will always rise to ! bring it on !!.. but srsly, glad I could help ....I knew that at least of few of them would fill the bill......and like any other watch collector, she may soon come to realize that a collection WILL grow, and she'll probably need more than 1 case for them all .....
