FS: 1927 Gruen Tank 13 - 18k WG, Inlaid Enamel, Hand Engraved

Wasn't expecting to let this one go, but something came up and I keep my collection small. Looking for $1,100, which is what I paid for it from Bryan. This is the only one I've ever seen, and Bryan had only seen one other in a museum. Engraved tank models are pretty rare, and when you do see them, the engravings are always badly worn. They are 100% intact on this model, not worn away anyplace. Same with the vitreous enamel inlay. This is the complete package - 18k, enamel, egraved. Not much more you could look for in an Art Deco watch. Not sure of service history, but it currently runs and keeps good time.

Can you list the case size? Also, is the dial original finish or an older refinish?

The print on these dials is hard enamel, so it's hard to tell original from old refinish. And it evidently didn't see a whole lot of use, so I would think original is a possibility. I can look for any signs one way or the other, but for the sake of this sale, let's assume old refinish. The case is 32mm x 23mm. Certainly on the small side, but thanks to the 18mm strap, it wears reasonably masculine.

Hello John-

Have been away for a bit. Getting a divorce and flooding from Harvey The Hurricane have taken a lot of time. Anyway, I would like very much to purchase your watch. Tell me how to proceed. How are you?
