Re: Elgin Knights

I blame Reto as well for my interest in having a box for every watch - to many inspiring ( or obsessive) ideas with all these great postings. Am I allowed to be so cheeky when so new to the forum? Perhaps if I ever get around to refurbishing my old watchmakers display cabinet I'll share he...

Re: have you been like this as well ?

Somewhere between the 30% dive of the Canadian dollar against the US dollar and eBay's Global Shipping Program, I have been cured of any watch buying problem. No matter how awesome it is or how much I want it, there is no value equation I can use to justify any more than a few, select purchases per...

Sorry to bore you I needed to share with someone, my wife just does not have the same perspective, don't get me wrong she likes the watches and will wear mine out to dinner. Her new favorite is the Arnold.

Re: Shipping Woes: Vent Here

Thanks for weighing in. One thing that may be missed is that eBay says the charge is for all fees for duties, tariffs, etc. When shipping vintage watches to Canada there are no fees. USPS offers insurance if you need to protect yourself as a seller A plea to US sellers - consider USPS to Canadian de...

Re: Shipping Woes: Vent Here

As primarily an eBay purchaser, I am curious to hear from US sellers perspective of using the eBay's global shipping for shipping to Canada. My understanding is that this service helps with the "paperwork" when exporting items and for "applicable customs duties, taxes, brokerage and other fees". Unf...

Re: Hamilton Boxes

Good day all. I have been following the forum for just over a year and find it very interesting, informative and a source for a great deal of information. I appreciate the community the forum has created. I have a small collection of Hamiltons (and other makers) and have been trying to assemble asso...
