Re: Anyone Seen One of These Before?

When it turned out, that Susan’s green box is legit I had an idea of the background of it. But I wanted to wait until I received another box to compare with Susan’s green box (the seller paired the box with a Parker B – I was “hot” for the box only. But getting a Parker B in addition to a box isn’t ...

Re: WRUW 12/24/17 thru 12/30/17

Love the ad! Lovely, isn't it? Actually, it's the back of a Christmas booklet (8 pages) - no printing date but I assume it's from 1954 (or maybe 1955?). Here's the front cover: Hamilton_Christmas-Special_1955_01_551x768.jpg Before Susan will get an heart attack: the green boxes are for Hamilton Ill...

Santa Claus was VERY generous to us: A Roberta for my wife and a Robert for me. Merry Christmas to all!

Hello Susan,

thanks for showing the additional photos. Wow, it seems: acquittal! The jury found no evidences of a manipulation. So: congratulations for this unique box!

Re: Anyone Seen One of These Before?

Hello Susan,

when I saw this box on ebay I thought it was painted. Actually, when my memory serves me right, there are little white spots on the back of the box? Are you sure the box is solid-colored and not painted? If this box really is made of green Bakelite: congratulations!

Regards

Thank you all.
You are right,It writes PLAQUE G 20 and then the hallmark of HAMILTON.
Ah, interesting. It means: 20 microns thick gold electroplated (G = Galvano = electro plating; 20 = 20 microns or µm thick layer of gold).

It’s a Day N' Date 6004 (1971) – see the 1971 catalog here: http://www.vintagewatchforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2662 Interestingly, the only other Day N’Date 6004 has a different case number 66002-4, see here: http://www.vintagewatchforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=4186&start=10 Quote: “Day N' Dat...

Re: A ZentRa (Hamilton) Fontainebleau B and a theory how to date early Fontainebleau B variations

Thank you for this important research contribution. Do you have any information on the movement? Also, do you know what, if anything, is marked on the inside case back? Meanwhile, I can answer this question. Just recently I received an ZentRa Savoy/ Hamilton Fontainebleau B in stainless steel (Case...
