Re: Black Knight needs a new battery!

Be careful with that seller. If you look carefully you will notice that they are posting many multiples of the same watches.

They have twice flooded the Hamilton section with tons of duplicate listings for Electrics — there is no way they have that many of these particular models available.

Re: Batteries for reissue Hamiltons

Rene, while the original electric hands did not fit the factory quartz conversions, Hamilton used hands that were generally close in style to the originals, yes?

Re: Batteries for reissue Hamiltons

Here are images of the batteries I use for factory conversions and quartz reissues. I included the packaging so that you would have the reference they provide to older battery numbers. Factory Quartz Conversions: 392 factory.jpg Flight Reissue: 362 flight.jpg Some Ventura Reissues: 371 some venturas...

Re: Batteries for reissue Hamiltons

I have been working with some conversion movements lately and it seems there are variations in the cannon pinion heights. Could this be to accommodate curved dials vs some that may not have a curve? This is confusing to me because the 500/505 movements never required this variation. . . .

Re: Batteries for reissue Hamiltons

I really haven't paid much attention to the reissue Ventura watches, particularly the backs. Mine has three screws and yours has four. Interesting. Mine is probably an older version. Re: Batteries for reissue Hamiltons

Nathan, I have logged which batteries go in the Ventura reissues, Flight reissue and factory quartz conversions. I will try to get that info to you shortly.

To list for sale on this forum, photos and prices must be included.

Please amend your listing to include these, or the listing will have to be removed, thanks.

Re: Electric 505 - not automatically starting. Help please.

.

Apparently the Electrics always needed a bit of coaxing to start. Here are instructions that came with the watches (not sure if 500 or 505) that essentially told you to keep trying, LOL:

Re: New Guy!

' Welcome to the forum and congrats on your Holcomb — great watch! There is a very rare version in rose gold that I would love to stumble upon one day. The only one I have ever seen was on artdecowristwatches.com (Bryan, who answered you earlier), but that was many years ago. . . . I thought about a...
