Re: Heads up for Ebay watch sellers...non paying bidder alert

Just know that if you close a case *without* permission from the buyer, you risk getting a seller "defect" on your account. Too many of those, and there may be increased fees or selling restrictions. Here is the page explaining cancellation. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/canceling-...

Re: Heads up for Ebay watch sellers...non paying bidder alert

non payment can be a real pain but, I have a basic routine. If the items is not paid in 24 hours I send the buyer a short note asking if they need time to pay or if they wish to cancel. Re: To restore or to not restore? Advice on a special find.

The norm seems that most collectors like the items to be untouched. But for me I generally like a restored or at least cleaned and polished look.

Re: 1961 Hamilton Award Watch - Info and Value

Just a quick update that so far the current owner has not stated if the watch is for sale or not.
But, it is still sitting at my friends shop so I take that as a positive. How long will it take to get and answer?

Well if it takes as long as a watch service takes, it could be a loooooong time.

Also one of the blades has Standard - Coosa - Thatcher Chattanooga on it. From what I found this was a textile company. Se...

Re: Problem (I think) with a pin-set watch

I've had a few of them where the pin needed to be pushed well into the case.
You may also want to check the area the pin pushes into to see if it does actually engage.
